I wasn't able to leave a comment on his blog, but I would suggest that he try Blue Rose, which is based on the True 20 system. Basically, Blue Rose is a fantasy role-playing game that takes modern day, progressive views of love and sexuality, then applies that to a fantasy setting. As a result, you still get the usual D&D style adventure and what not, but there are also strong romantic themes included, as well as bi-sexuality and homosexuality. It's a really interesting game and is beautifully interested.
